Well, yes, 16-17 is mediocre.
However, any analyst who puts serious effort into deciding this is as good as the Yankees will get this season is treading on dangerous ground in assuming that they won’t get mostly healthy, and that the proven players who’ve gotten off to bad starts (Texiera, Burnett, Sabathia, Wang) won’t play back to their career levels at some point this season.
