It don’t mean much, but I was at the game Monday night, and Swisher hit 3 ball quite hard with nothing to show for it. I had hoped he was coming out of hi slump, but not yet, I guess.

That was my impression from watching the game on TV. He hit a few balls really hard but right at fielders. Although he’s striking out too, at least he’s not rolling over on balls like Matsui/Cano do when they’re going bad. At least he’s putting solid wood on ‘em.

i think he believes that his eye is so good that he doesn’t have to protect the plate when he has 2 strikes, which is blasphemy

Good point Corey.. I should clarify my definition of pressing as not only defined as you put it but not reacting to the pitch where it is thrown.. He has hit it hard but I see him pulling off the ball at times.. Taking a call strike three also leads me to believe he is starting to look only in certain parts of the zone and not allowing his instincts to hit it where its pitched.. IE,, going to the opposite field.. just my thoughts on it…

You are right, my bad. I just saw a discussion about candidates to replace him by trade, so that suggested to me that some people were giving up on him. But not everybody, so my bad.

Got off to a hot start.. Is having the time of his life in NY.. Nice role player who IMO is making the most of it slump or no slump at the present time.. I am certainly not giving up on him.. I still think right now he is pressing.. Just needs to go back to the things that made him successful earlier.. He will break out of it soon enough..
