May 2009 Survey Question #2

Please consider taking the following poll:
How many homeruns do you think the Phillies' Ryan Howard will hit when he plays his first series in the new Yankee Stadium this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday?
Thanks in advance. And, please feel free to add comments on your opinion in the comments section below.

BP will be fun to watch over the weekend, that’s for sure.
lol more than 6?
lol more than 6?

I’d take the under on that.
Credit to the guy sitting to my left, at the Stadium on Bat Day, for bringing the Howard question up. I had not considered it until he mentioned it, out loud, to one of his buddies.
Just for funsies:
Ryan Howard vs. Yankees pitchers, career:
A.J. Burnett: 2-9, but with 2 HR, 2 RBI, and 5 K’s.
Andy Pettitte: 1-6 with no special notes.
C.C. Sabathia: 1-3 with 1 RBI and 2 K’s.
Mariano Rivera: 0-2 with no special notes.
…and then there’s one more pitcher on the Yanks’ staff who has faced Howard before…
Brett Tomko: 5-7, 2 2B, 1 HR, 2 RBI —-> .714/.714/1.429/2.143
Somehow, I don’t think the manager will be bringing Tomko in to get Howard anytime soon.
Totals coming into this weekend: 9-27, 3 2B, 3 HR, 9 R, 5 RBI, 7 K, 5 BB, .333/.333/.778/1.111

Got the under on 6… No way on that happening… I voted one to three over the weekend.. Whats the pitching match up?… Jamie Moyer pitched last night.. so I guess we don’t get him to abuse..
Hamel’s vs. CC is a match up I am looking forward to.. Philly has a potent lineup,, but the Yankees have to much pitching in this Series.. Phillies leave town limping.. Yankees take Friday and Saturday.. If Pettitte has a decent game, we could take all three. But odds on.. 2 of the 3 likely…
