Credit to the guy sitting to my left, at the Stadium on Bat Day, for bringing the Howard question up. I had not considered it until he mentioned it, out loud, to one of his buddies.

Got the under on 6... No way on that happening... I voted one to three over the weekend.. Whats the pitching match up?... Jamie Moyer pitched last night.. so I guess we don't get him to abuse..

Hamel's vs. CC is a match up I am looking forward to.. Philly has a potent lineup,, but the Yankees have to much pitching in this Series.. Phillies leave town limping.. Yankees take Friday and Saturday.. If Pettitte has a decent game, we could take all three. But odds on.. 2 of the 3 likely...

Just for funsies:

Ryan Howard vs. Yankees pitchers, career:

A.J. Burnett: 2-9, but with 2 HR, 2 RBI, and 5 K's.
Andy Pettitte: 1-6 with no special notes.
C.C. Sabathia: 1-3 with 1 RBI and 2 K's.
Mariano Rivera: 0-2 with no special notes.

...and then there's one more pitcher on the Yanks' staff who has faced Howard before...

Brett Tomko: 5-7, 2 2B, 1 HR, 2 RBI ----> .714/.714/1.429/2.143

Somehow, I don't think the manager will be bringing Tomko in to get Howard anytime soon.

Totals coming into this weekend: 9-27, 3 2B, 3 HR, 9 R, 5 RBI, 7 K, 5 BB, .333/.333/.778/1.111
