Nine in a row!
You know what else is exciting? Yanks are finally in the positive in run differential. I know there are many stats that can be used to identify whether a team is successful or not, but i’m a huge believer in run differential.
Every year, the best teams seem to lead the league in run differential…it’s no coincidence. Even though the current Yanks differential of +5 isn’t anything to brag about (232 RS, 227 RA), as long as we score more runs than we let up, we’ll keep winning. Just put it up there with one more thing to be excited about with the Yanks right now.
IIRC Steve did a study on if run differential = championships and he found a few yankee titles where it didnt…might be wrong tho

That can certainly happen, I wouldn’t be surprised.
its surprising the twins can score 20 runs without morneau getting a hit

Wang to the bullpen tonight for long reliever according to pete abe’s blog (altho not pete abe sadly, sucks whats happenin to him this week)
kind of a curious move, cause i thought the whole problem with Wang is that he needed the arm strength, so they are skipping his start in AAA so that he can go to the pen in case they need him for long relief…although, burnett usually goes at least 6…just sounds strange
also interesting, the thunder were on the losing end of a perfect game last night
