i just want to say that one of the things that I like about this blog, and one of the things that keeps me coming back, is the fact that you, Steve, are willing to defend your opinion whenever any of us disagree with you. And your willing to defend it tooth and nail, and it makes for very fun debates. I realize you would have less time for new blog posts, but I feel if you stopped commenting it would detract from the waswatching experience. That’s my 2 cents.
I think that tonight is a very big game for CC and the justification for his signing. We all know that he is an elite pitcher. However, he has not always performed well in pressure situations. He was awful against the Sox in the playoffs when coming off an outstanding season.
Yes, he had his moment last year but the NL teams he played against down the stretch for Milwaukee are AAA compared to the pressure and talent in the AL East.
I want to see a good performance tonight. I won’t complain if he loses a pitchers’ duel against Carmona. But he has to pitch well.
