What, I’m not willing to play the role of piñata anymore and now no one one wants to leave comments here?

      Just kidding. ;-)

No one has any Yankees thoughs today? Just a slow day in Yankeeland today?

You know Steve, it’s strange. The Yanks have played so well for so long that even a disappointing walk-off loss doesn’t inspire much panic in me. When they lost, my actual thought was, “Well, they can’t win every game…let’s get ‘em tomorrow.”

I kinda like having that feeling after a loss, our boys have been on quite a run.

      I have a comment.

Yanks have a chance to go 5-2 on this road trip, if Joba can beat Sowers tonight.

That’s not too shabby, is it?

Oh, someone on the Yankees staff: please remember to bring the extra-heavy-duty can of bug repellant tonight, please.

I was at Fenway last night for the Phish concert and having been giving the go-ahead from the members of this board, I went in full Yankee gear (A-Rod away jersey and hat). It was a nice feeling walking in there and seeing the Yankees on top of the AL East standings displayed on the Green Monster, even if it is only a 1/2 game. I naturally encountered a few hecklers, but it was all in good fun for the most part.

I commend you, I would not have had the balls to wear what you wore in Fenway Park.

I’m proud of you, Joey. You make me proud as a Yanks fan and as a Phishhead! See ya Thursday, amigo!

That hurt more than helped, last time around.

That’s what they were saying on Friday night when those weird bugs came out again.

What’s with all the bugs anyway? Is it because of the lake? Is it because of pollution? I know Cleveland’s not supposed to be a very nice city but seeing all those little black specks flying around makes it even less inviting…

Might I say that this Joba kid is a pretty good starter? Can we please remember this night and just accept that we’re developing a future #1/#2 caliber starter here?

“Hello Mike, this is Evan from Brooklyn…ninety…seven…miles…per…hour…in…the…8th…inning. Now, I demand your resignation as host of this show, you utter boob.”

Well, a man can dream, can’t he?

Yeah, it would’ve been nice of the espn trio to admit that they were completely wrong and their 5 inning debate about the subject was proven moot by Joba, but they pretty much ignored it. And the next game they do, they’ll have the exact same discussion.
