A-Rod Pitch Tipping Issue Not Dead Yet?

Pete Abe shares a link to an interesting look at the charges that A-Rod tipped pitches in Texas.
See? I told you that it was Miggy Tejada.
I wonder if anyone will ask Alex about this new report? Of course, they could also ask Tejada too.

*awaits the flood of comments negating the report*
There are so many things wrong with the post… especially in considering one main point: how many at-bats within the averages? Blow-out games don’t happen every day, and in terms of batting averages, they can easily fluctuate in number with just one more or less hit.
Without reading much more than cursorily through the original article and Pete’s post I’m left wondering one thing: for the players that experienced jumps in performance in blowouts (whether it was A-Rod or opponents), was the improvement sustained on the winning or losing end of games?
If people’s numbers went up when winning blow outs, that doesn’t sound out of the ordinary. I mean, good hitting causes blowouts and usually pushed starters out in favor of middling bullpen guys who sop innings and take the beating. Without that information, its hard still to draw statistical conclusions.
Steve, you know better, this study proves nothing. I know you hate A-Rod and so forth, but you can do better.
Yep, this proves it.
I can’t wait for Cody Ransom to finish his rehab now.
Who needs a team that goes 19-7.
Gimme 15-17, any day.
