Looking at the replay a 3rd time, Castillo would’ve had to get up from his knees to make the throw home, and it might not’ve been in time, but I think he would’ve had a shot, instead he just flipped it to 2nd, where Cora was standing.
Maybe he thought he couldn’t get up in time to make the throw, and got it to someone in a better position.

I think he tossed to second out of instinct; force of habit. Also, replays showed Rodriguez about to take off for second, but he went back to first

Don't look at me, I don't like Joba the Hut's fist pumps either...especially when he's losing a game 4-3 to their hated rivals and they end up losing it. I'm not a fan of the way the Cisco Kid acts on the field after a victorious strikeout or pop out either. Or AssholeMouth Papelbone's pseudo fierce look on the mound when he pitches where his mouth looks like an anus!

That is something that got lost in this win. It reminds of that victory against the Bluebirds last year where the Yanks came back to win 9-8 and the win hid all the mistakes they made. GReat play from St Derek and Teix in the end BUT Arod pops out again to end a game...well almost, it didn't happen thanks to Castillo. MO gave up the lead in the 8th where he wasn't automatic. Swisher the Baseless Runner made another Keystone Cop play in the field. It was not a pretty win, BUT a win nonetheless. To Jete's credit ,he even admitted in the postgame that they stole the game.

If you're comparing Joba to K-Rod, you've got to be kidding me. I'm not a big fan of Joba's stuff either, but K-Rod is out of this world in that department.

In spite of Nick the Baseless Runner Swisher's mediocre outfield play(he makes Abreu look like a right fielder for the ages), Aroid's unclutchness and a seeming defeat at the hands of the dreaded Metropolitanos, Luis Castillo gift wraps a win for the Yanks. Special mention to the Cisco Kid AKA K-Rod, Cisco celebrate AFTER the fat lady sings OR better yet when Luis The Balldropper Castillo catches it! NIce job from Teixeira. I like he he runs the bases even on the verge of an imminent defeat...perhaps he can teach some of his less gifted teammates the art of baserunning........ I also liked how Jeter and Teix were humble in their victory, they didn't try to shame the Balldropper too much in the postgame interviews!
