I feel your pain Corey – I think I got only 3 hours of sleep last night – this team pisses me off that much…

it really sucks to sit in a rain soaked stadium for 6 hours and then watch them not have a pulse against the nationals.

The Yanks owe you a free Premium ticket for this year or next right behind homeplate Corey. Kudos for sticking it out!

the first 2 or 3 hours weren’t bad, they had the blue jays-phillies game on the giant tv so I was entertained by that…and then they switched to tampa-rox after that. But then we just sat and waited and waited. They had pre-recorded updates that really didn’t give you much information and were only played once an hour (if that). In fact, friends texting my friend were the only way we knew how long to wait. The thing that got me is they coulda got 5 innings in at 2pm as it was drizzling from 2-330/4. At least they let us move down though, that was nice of them.

In any event, they should have started the game at 7, IMO. I was at the stadium from 1130 AM to what..around 10/1030 at night?

meant to say they should have officially switched the start of the game to 7 so that people weren’;t just sitting there all day. But they made their money off those who stayed, so I guess it works out for them

Corey – how much money did you end up spending on food and drinks in those ~11 hours there?

    10. June 19th, 2009 | 10:37 am

And, did you have that redhead with you? She deserves flowers today, if so. Get on it!

    11. June 19th, 2009 | 10:43 am

On the bright side, you didn’t wait six hours for just any old game. You witnessed history. No homers.

haha nah she missed this 1…good thing, if she was there I’d be quite broke right now haha. My friend had gotten free tickets and he had invited me along. I’d say while I was there probably around 100 bucks (not including the price of the ticket) Sad part is, I feel like that’s not all that bad lol.

Also, did you guys see Scutaro steal second off of the walk yesterday? wow.

      @ Steve Lombardi:

Got it once today, but hasn’t been an issue since (as evidenced in the recent commented section :D )

    18. June 19th, 2009 | 12:47 pm

Thanks – today was the first time I ever got it – and it’s happened like 3 times now.

Cool. I’m kinda curious — how did they notify you that you could move down to the Field Level? Was it a word of mouth thing or did they make an announcement that all fans could move down?

i was actually in the bathroom when it happened, when i came out my friend was waiting for me and said lets hurry and get good seats. I think it was an announcement over the PA, but I didn’t hear it so i’m not sure..it was in between the first inning IIRC

speaking of bathrooms, wtf is with the urinals on the main level? There is no wall to seperate you and the actual urinal is ridiculously small, leavin urself out there…The bathroom on the field level isn’t like that
