    Finally!

A win! Seems like forever, don’t it?

Hey, I guess the lack of offense was Joe Girardi’s fault? As soon as he was tossed from the game, and Tony Pena took over, the Yankees bats came alive. (Yes, I’m just kidding with this one.) By the way, was that a terrible call by Bill Welke, or what? Brett Gardner was back safe by a mile. General Joe had to get run on that one.

Great game by Joba. Then again, it was expected – since he had an extra day’s rest between today’s game and his last start, and, if you’ve been paying attention, you know what that means.

And, nice nights at the plate for Damon, Teixeira, A-Rod and Swisher. Now, of course, the key is…doing it again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day…

Lastly, was it just me, or, did Francisco Cervelli’s homerun trot seem like it was under 15 seconds?

he didn’t think it was out, he thought he just shot it in the gap and he was thinking triple right out of the gate (i like that), and by the time he realized it was gone he was at 2nd base. That was only is 8th homer of his pro career, so I could see why he wouldn’t know it was gone off the crack of the bat.

Another theory could be that he is one of the pitchers afraid to pitch at the new stadium. We did hear that that were a few (more than just Pettite) and check out these stats

      home:
      0-2 5.18 ERA 7G 33.0 IP 30 H 21BB 36 K
      away:
      4-0 2.74 ERA 7G 42.2 IP 40H 16 BB 33K

This was a great game to attend. Lots of good moments I may never see again in person. Cervelli HR..MO taking swings. I almost shat when MO got his almost hit. Would have loved to make 3rd game. See you Oct. 2nd Yanks!

It looks to me like Cervillo is going to make a darn solid back-up catcher. And I’m not just saying that cause he hit a homerun last night.

And yes, from now on everyone should call him Cervillo.

I have no idea how I formed that typo, but I’m nonetheless impressed.
