I mentioned a while back the possibility that the new ballpark would mask Jeter's continued decline - His OPS at home (.897) is his best since his overall 2006 number, but his road OPS keeps falling, and has since 2006, the last year I checked.

His slugging on the road for the last three years:

.460
.428
.392

Also found it interesting that his split for this season is quite pronounced facing righties vs lefties.

.722 OPS, .264 BA facing righties, with a .274 BABIP
VS
1.180 OPS, .455 BA facing lefties, with a preposterous .519 BABIP

Looks to me that the ballpark is a big help in boosting Jeter's numbers, and that he's pretty pedestrian facing RHPs - which he faces more often (245 PA vs 74) and will be likely to face more often when the game is on the line in the late innings.

Jeter needs to produce on the road and against righties before we determine that reports of his demise were premature.

Im a bit surprised to see that cano that low on the list. I thought he would be higher. Also hopefully A-rods starting to turn it around after last night.

I love that fact that Jobas RSAA is higher then Mo's that should put an end to that stupid debate.

Simple logic: I took the top three batters and the bottom three pitchers on each list. Nothing else.

when you take away the ugly results of Chien-Ming Wang, Anthony Claggett and Damaso Marte
-----------
I'm not sure why Claggett and Marte would get lumped in with Wang or why Veras and Albaladejo would be omitted. You're criticizing a total of 7 bad innings and ignoring 46.2 equally bad ones.

Granted, I despise Marte. But I hate him more for what he represents and less for his -6 RSAA number. He barely registers on the scale of bat pitching in 2009.
