I was just looking at the remaining games for the Yankees, Red Sox and Rays in 2009 – from today foward.
Here they are:
Yankees: vs. PCT H A Tot Boston .605 7 3 10 Angels .563 1 6 7 Texas .563 3 0 3 Detroit .543 3 0 3 Tampa .530 4 6 10 Seattle .519 0 7 7 Minn. .518 0 3 3 ChiSox .512 3 4 7 Toronto .506 6 6 12 Balt. .439 6 3 9 Kansas .432 3 0 3 Oakland .425 4 3 7 TOTAL .514 40 41 81 Red Sox: vs. PCT H A Tot Yankees .593 3 7 10 Angels .563 3 0 3 Texas .563 0 6 6 Detroit .543 4 0 4 Tampa .530 3 5 8 ChiSox .512 4 4 8 Toronto .506 6 6 12 Balt. .439 5 6 11 Kansas .432 4 4 8 Oakland .425 7 0 7 Cleve. .398 4 0 4 TOTAL .499 43 38 81 Rays: vs. PCT H A Tot Boston .605 5 3 8 Yankees .593 6 4 10 Angels .563 0 3 3 Texas .563 3 3 6 Detroit .543 3 4 7 Seattle .519 2 3 5 ChiSox .512 0 4 4 Toronto .506 9 6 15 Balt. .439 7 4 11 Kansas .432 4 3 7 Oakland .425 3 0 3 TOTAL .519 42 37 79
What jumps out at me are all those road games that the Yankees have left with the Angels, Rays, Mariners and Blue Jays – as well as those seven games the Yankees have left with the Red Sox to be played in the Bronx.
How the Yankees do in those 25 road games against the Halos, Rays, M’s and Jays – as well as those 7 home games against the Bosox – just might make or break how the Yankees do in the second half of 2009.
