Decision to CC, thanks to some clutch pitching by the Big Dude, a cheapie from A-Rod, and contributions by Cano, Melky, and yes, even Swisher!

Oh, and Mo for the Usual.

Oh…one more thing. Yanks now 4-1 against the 1st-place Tigers, winning the season’s series.

You know; the Tigers, who were tied with the Rangers for the 4th best-record in the league this year. Until the Yanks beat’em again, that is.

Yanks now 22-21 vs. teams that are over .500 for the season.

Arod hit a cheapie? So was Detroits HR. Im disliking that term more and more. Nothing against Evan..its the bitching by the opposing teams that grinds my gears.

I didn’t mean to imply that Thames’ HR was a blast, clint.

A-Rod’s HR was a high fly ball that made the 2nd row in the part of the park that would not have been a HR last year. I think. Verlander gave it a sarcastic smile as if he couldn’t believe it was gone.

And I’m not saying I’m not taking it, either. In fact, I’m damn glad it went out, or the Yanks might never have scored off Verlander.

I hate when people complain about this. So Tiger fans are pissed that Alex hit a home run in the current Yankee Stadium that wouldn’t have been out of the old one. Oh f*ckin’ well, the Tigers also had 9 innings to hit a ball out of the same wall in the same stadium and it didn’t happen.

That wall will play in our favor at times, and it will hurt us at times. We and other teams should just accept it because it aint changing, not this year.
