Rickey gave a nice speech, he played it straight. Robinson’s speech class helped, I’m sure. There were some rough bits, but I attributed that to Henderson’s nervousness.

I can’t thank you enough for Phil’s HOF speech. I never saw the whole thing and hadn’t thought to go to their site.

The speech was exactly the way he’d call a game. Every once in a while he’d get to the point. All the side stuff was what made him so enjoyable. He made it seem like you were at the ballpark w/ a very good friend. Just shooting the breeze.
