He should be dealing Halladay (I just hope the Yanks don’t pull it off, they are so sneaky in these things, I can’t count them out).

Honestly, I agree...I don't want the Yanks to pull it off either. The Yanks don't need to give up all those prospects for a year+ of Halladay. Every team has a weakness, and the Yanks weakness is not a lack of front end starters. Hopefully a back end starter comes but i'm not even hopeful for that right now.

Then again, I wrote on this blog that the Yanks would never pay for Tex...

Doc. ;)

Seriously though, Gonzales, because he's younger, and if they part with Bard they must get Heath Bell in the deal too. I'm not at all sure though how you make this move without moving someone else, or else you just have a huge log-jam and end up with at least two starting-type major leaguers on the bench.

OTOH, V-Mart can be worked in to a variety of spots in the field, which is a bonus but I don't think he's worth Buchholz straight up.

I'll be feverishly watching up until the deadline but I don't think anything happens in the end. And the Toronto GM is a moron to think he can do any better after the season than he can now. Toronto won't win next year even if all of their pitching comes back, there's not enough offense. He should be dealing Halladay (I just hope the Yanks don't pull it off, they are so sneaky in these things, I can't count them out).

Man was I aggravated when Swisher hit the home run, but since it set up Hughes' first runs in a long while and a loss as a reliever, it was great! ;)

(I think you guys can take a little needling given where your team is and where mine is)

This was all about Gavin Floyd and Yankee errors. Andy pitched well enough to keep the game even and his defense let him down, very frustrating.

Gotta tip your hat to Floyd...and the ump on this one. The strikezone was pretty huge last night. The Cano error probably killed us, but Andy has looked great lately. We keep pitching like this, we'll be okay.

As we've seen with the Yanks this year (and, I assume, with every other team in baseball), their hot streaks are followed by stretches of .500 baseball. I think that's a fairly common occurrence in baseball.

Yes, it stinks, because the Yanks are better than the White Sox. And if we have to nitpick, DeWayne Wise beating you is a good place to start. Four errors in the last three games is another place to start. Unearned runs will beat you every single time.

But I'm not worried. The Yanks are still pitching well and hitting well. Weather the storm, tread water, and get back on a hot streak in a week or so.

Hey, don’t look now, but, the Yankees are now 3-3 in their last six games…

…that’s not terrible. But, it ain’t great either.
----------

Nope. And here's to hoping they go at least 4-2 in their next 6.
