		<description>IT was great to see Thurman play in the flesh wasn&#039;t it? He was what other  baseball players refer to as a &quot;baseball player&quot;. He was gritty, gutty and real. I remember how I felt after I heard the news...absolutely shocked.  I had a similar feeling when Lennon was killed as well. I heard the news about both on 880 WCBS. Older fans,radio hosts, and media people make a big deal about him these days and deservedly so. Strange how they didn&#039;t win anything  the few years after he died . Cerrone was a nice guy BUT he was no Thurman.</description>
