Paula Abdul Leaving American Idol

American Idol without Paula Abdul is sort of like Alex Rodriguez without his hair highlights, patented A-Rod Clydesdale Jog™, and post-victory gum slapping. Sure, at the end of the day, it’s still probably going to work – but, with a lot less “stuff” that makes you want to channel Bugs Bunny and say “What a maroon!”
Where’s the fun in that?
She was the best thing about Idol, and the difference between me watching Idol and not.
I never much watched Idol, but having a mediocre singer/dancer judge a singing contest always seemed like building a two-legged stool – a bad, pointless idea.
So in that spirit, I think the proper Idol:Yankee SAT analogy would be Paula:Tony Womack, outfielder.
This blog has been getting progressively worse but I resisted taking it off my RSS reader just in case something useful came along. This post sealed the deal. This is the last waswatching post I will ever read, you could say I was I was watching but am no more!
