A’s Dump Big G

The A’s have released Jason Giambi.
If they had only done it sooner, the Big G could have played in the Yankees Old-Timer’s Game this year…
…in any event, as I’ve said before, now the bartenders in Vegas could see some extra big tips this summer…

That’s pretty sad, I gotta say. It can’t feel too good to be Big G today.
Yeah, he’s just about done… I guess it’s time for him to party and set his hair on fire or something like that.
If he still wants to play, there’s the indy leagues. I’m sure they’d take him if/when he gets better.
I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for the Giambino. He was a lot of what was wrong with the recent Yankee teams, but he sure had some great Yankee moments. His two home runs in game 7 2003 were absolutely humongous…
I hate to say this because I liked Giambi but he was basically 40 miles of bad road from the day he arrived until the day he left.
What I like best about Giambi is how good it feels now that he’s gone. Teixeira is such an upgrade, such a pleasure to watch, I think his signing might be the best thing that’s happened to the Yankees since they won the 2000 World Series.
