Robbie Cano…don’t cha know…this cream pie is for you! Another thrilling walk-off victory. What is that, like, a hundred of those now this season?

Man, if the Yankees end up winning a ring this season, when MLB does the World Series video, I want to see all these in-season late comebacks and/or walk-off wins featured in that DVD – even if it’s just on the bonus features. It’s been an amazing season, so far, with all these crazy wins…

…of course, if the Yanks don’t make it past the ALDS again, this is all moot, right? Well, let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Nothing worse than a magic carpet ride that ends before the final destination.

let’s make sure we make the playoffs first. i’m a big believer in not counting chickens…

quick question there stevo. back in june for what seemed like 2 weeks straight we got updates daily in this space about what the yankees record was, and how it should have been even two games worse than it was thanks to errors by aybar and castillo. can we get that update on the flip side of the equation (winning) now?!

I was there yesterday. Of the 11 walkoffs, I’ve been there for two, plus two other games that were tied after 7 1/2, and the Yanks scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 8th, and Mariano closed it out.

Better yet, making his Yankee Stadium debut was the nephew. He was a little worried and disappointed as the Yanks went through inning after inning without scoring; without even threatening to score from the 5th inning through the 10th.

But patience was rewarded in the 11th when Cano’s game-winner allowed Good to triumph over Evil. That’s the Yankee way! ;)

Evan , are you the Yankee version of Hawk Harrelson(who calls the White Sox games)? The Good Guys win, the Bad Guys lose! I know you’re kidding …or at least I think you are!?? I still revel in the fact that the Yanks are called the Evil Empire, though.

THe Blue Birds are a good hitting team BUT are a terrible RISP team. It should never have gone to extras. I found it comical that radio people said that the Yanks are on cruise control??! Unh? They won that second one against Toronto late in the game and it was hardly a blowout. AND Toronto lost Rolen( one of their best players) and Rios(somewhat of a Yankee killer) and they still had to sweat out that last game….
