I’m concerned. I’m always concerned when it involves Mariano.

But I’m not panicking yet.

That’s the curse of being a 39-year old (or older) pitcher. Everything is always a sign of the end…until proven otherwise.

Fair enough. That being said, we do go through this so often with Mo. He has a bad game, or is a bit sore, and everybody freaks out. With him, I’ve learned to just assume the best until proven otherwise.

Old people get sick every winter – and they say “No big deal, I get the flu every January” – until they get the flu that actually kills them.

Same thing for pitchers – as they get older, sometimes, that every year pain, in one year, becomes the pain that does them in.

Not worried. I did a post on this yesterday, and it seems that Mariano has a dead arm period every August.

i agree with other people who have commented on this topic on other sites, Mo seems to haev this prob once a year and it goes away…i’ll be concerned if it lasts more then a week or so

If he was out for a while..yea I would. But from I’ve been reading, this happens to him just about every year at this time (Pete Abe). I’ll start worrying if he hits the DL.
