I agree Butchie. I was speaking of overall talent, but it is time we get that fear back. It can start Oct. 5th.

The Arlington Cowherders AKA the Rangers just took 2 out of 3 @ the Stadium, they can do decently against New York. The Tigers ? Jackson, Verlander and Washburn...not a shabby top three. Boston? We all know about what the reality has been since 2004. And the LA Anaheim/Pasadena Assholes of Orange County, Cali? They own the Yanks. All that being said, the games have to be played so anything can happen. And in the words of the Golden Boy St Jeter: the hottest team wins in the playoffs ( not necessarily the best)....

Clint, this team doesn't remind me of 98 that much. Call me jaded but I don't see it. One of the differences between 98 and now, is that teams don't fear the Yankees anymore. Boston doesn't. The Angels don't. And at that time , they quivered in their boots when they faced the Yankees, not now and that's important to note........

The Yanks (or their fans) “wanted” the Tigers in 2006, and the Indians in 2007. That did not work out as scheduled.
One way or another, the Yanks will have to go through the either the Angels or the Red Sox to get to the World Series.
They’ll have to conquer one of the two.

Exactly. It doesn't matter who we face. Bring em on, i'm confident with this Yankee team going to battle with anybody.
