      Not one, not two, but THREE Yanks getting MVP pub? If Jeter and Teixeira weren’t splitting the vote before, you can be sure that adding Damon to the mix will guarantee Mauer MVP plurality.

      Just to clarify: as of today, I think Mauer is the most deserving candidate. We’ll see where that stands in three weeks from now but I do think that, so far, Mauer’s been the AL’s most valuable player.

      No.

      Even if you consider his high WPA score, his defensive problems have hurt the team more than once. If you want to be the MVP, despite being a defensive minus, then you have dominate at the plate, like, oh, Manny Ramirez, for instance.
