You wait and see. Everybody is seriously overreacting and it’s getting very annoying. Seriously, this team wasn’t able to play .750 ball until the end of the season so we’re doomed, season over, our pitching won’t work in the playoffs.
If we lose in the first round because AJ stinks up the joint, or the ALCS because Joba still can’t be effective than we’ll have an entire winter to point fingers and talk about how doomed they were. Until then, let’s wrap up the division and get excited for postseason baseball.</blockquote>

Good attitude. The team has problems for sure. And yes, they have to get through the Red Sox and Angels BUT let's see what happens. Look, I'm not happy that Gaudin will be a starter in a potential ALCS BUT hey, the games have to be played. Yes, the Red Sox and Angels look better right now, but one never knows what will eventually happen when the post season starts.

Judas Priest; this one's even worse than the Barra column.

Preferrng Hughes pitch a game 7? Right now? Is there even the remotest possibility of this actually happening? He may mean it metaphorically, but then, so what?

I mean, why even bother with this?

Was he one of the geniuses who in April had Tampa winning the division and Boston in the WC? Agree with YankCrank. IIRC there have been a few teams that have limped into the playoffs in a much worse way than us and done very well.

I don't agree. I'll take Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz in their prime any day. This guy is clueless.
