Committed, Or Should Be?

Today, this blog is 1,630 days old. And, in that time, there have been 8,155 posts made to the blog – prior to this one. And, 99.99% of those posts have been made by me.
What’s that average out to? It’s 5 posts per day, everyday, for the last four years, five months, and two weeks.
How many hours of my life has been spent doing this? It has to be at least 2,000 – probably more. Actually, if you told me it was 3,000 hours, I wouldn’t be able to defend against it.
O.K., I’ll just hang up now and listen to your reaction to that…

And because of it you’ve made a bunch of friends whom you can share your love for America’s past time with. Sounds like a good deal to me.
If you told me that in the next 4 and a half years, I’d have that much time to spend thinking, discussing, and enjoying the Yankees…I’d consider myself lucky. There are far, far worse things that your time could be occupied with.

well, speaking just as a reader who recently discovered this blog, i have to say thank you for writing all those posts! it’s good to have smart unbiased opinions about the team from someone who clearly loves the yankees! i look forward to reading more.
Steve, this blog has a personal feel.. i know u r part of anetwork and what not.. with SNY.. but still it feels like a neighbour next door’s blog, discussions here are civil, sensible and -dare i say- intelligent…
u have a solid set of regulars and i personally like to read ur game recaps they are entertaining… and comforting that there are folks like me who hurt when them Yanks yuck it up…

Uh….thanks?
Steve , quite simply put, I’m in awe of your productivity level. and you just don’t hack out these blogs, you put some thought into it. I think this blog is therapy and relief for some,so your efforts are much appreciated.
I vote:
SHOULD BE!
Congrats Steve. You are a machine! And these here Internets are a little better because of you.
Thanks all.
I appreciate the feedback.
To be candid, I’m not sure I still have it in me to produce at that clip. And, I may have to make some adjustments soon. But, for sure, I’m not hanging them up, completely, right now.
