Well, maybe it's just that they don't do it well. I have no problem with the guys at RAB, and I actually enjoy the fact that they have 3 different opinions going.

@ Corey:

I think it could work well with multiple posters since Lohud followers are a high-maintenance group that has learned to expect constant input. It would probably work better if the guys developed their own areas to post about -- helps each one to have an identity and a zone of operations (certainly seems to work at RAB).

I really hope the Lohud blog drops Borden and Thomson once Jennings is assimilated...it's beginning to get hard to follow with all the different guys posting.

@ cr1:
I don't wish bad upon Torre personally and I do think that part of his departure from the Yanks was handled extremely poorly by the team. Having said that, he didn't behave as gracefully as he could've either. Although writing that book of his and Verducci's was perfectly within his rights, it still lacked a degree of class that I'd come to expect from him.

Anyway, it's in the past and bygones can be bygones. He's not in New York anymore and we don't miss him any more than he misses us. And on some level, he probably knows that and it probably hurts.

Butchie22 is right, Chavez Ravine was a terrific place to get inducted into baseball fandom.

As for Torre, he's part of many happy memories from the Old Stadium and I feel about him just as I do about old players who did fine things in their time with us, no matter where they went afterwards. I wanted Girardi to replace him (though I was rooting for it to be done in another way) and was glad to look forward to a new dynasty in the New Stadium. But I don't wish ill on Torre or any of our exes, except when they show up as opponents.

@ Raf:
Don't ask me why but I just have a better feeling about the Angels than the Red Sox this year. It might have something to do with how the BoSox spanked us eight in a row to start the year and we returned the favor 9-1 over the next 10. Somehow that streakiness makes me feel like they'll get all the luck in the next go-around.

I'd rather play the Angels, whom we played tought this year (save for the bad stretch before the ASB). The Angels aren't as good as they've been in recent years in the pitching department and that's what counts in my book. If you get into their bullpen, you're beating them.
