If the rest of you are anything like me, I get the “Sunday Blues” right around dusk. The best thing to beat that feeling is for:
1) The Yanks to chase their miserable bastard of an ex-teammate Pavano after 45 pitches (1.1 innings);
2) Pettitte to pitch into the 7th and gets the W;
3) Buchholz and Kazmir both give up 6 runs in 5 innings and the Angels and Red Sox go deep into the night before Boston finally wins in 21 innings.
Those three things would make Monday morning SOOOO much more tolerable.
I’m wondering, if the Yankees and the Red Sox lose today, will TBS/MLB monkey with the start times of Game 4 (and maybe Game 5, if needed), in the Yankees ALDS? They might – wanting to get a prime time team in prime time TV…but, that sucks for the fans trying to make plans about going to the games…switching start times on short notice.
But, they’ve done it before, right?
Hey MJ, What do you think of the snow out from yesterday?
It should be noted that while Minnesota gets warmer in the summer months, every other month, on average, Minnesota is much colder than Denver.
@ Corey:
As someone that knows Denver well, the snow-out was one of those things that happen only in Denver. That city isn’t a bad weather city the way people think it is. It can be 70 degrees in December and snow in the summer.
@ MJ:
That’s not what I was alluding to, I meant that if a snow out can happen in Denver, and it messes with a playoff series, it could certainly happen in Minnesota, where it’s colder at this time of year. Since many of us agreed that a rain out can affect post season flow, surely a snow out can.

Well, the wise thing to do, if the Twins won tonight would be to put the Phillies-Rockies tilt at the 5:00 PM spot, since they have to travel with no off day if there’s a Game 5 in Philly Tuesday night, and move Yanks-Twins to 8:00.
But that would make too much sense for MLB.
Fire Theo?

True, it can happen anywhere, but that still doesn’t justify the added expense of a dome. Besides, the Twins played more years outdoors than they have indoors.
@ Raf:
Bingo.
