Ah, gotcha. Makes sense to me though.

Not that I was crying tears for the Red Sox and Angels but a noon start time was preposterous. You don’t start at noon on any other day of the year (except for maybe Patriot’s Day up there in Boston) so why should two teams play at such an odd hour in the playoffs?

Selig and Co. never, EVER get the layup/slam-dunk common-sense ones right.

Instead of splitting up the off days, have 2 back to back games, travel day, 2 more back to back, with another travel day then game 5 if needed.

IOW, games on 10/7-8, 10/10-11, 10/13

A minimum of 4 games can be played in a day, 1-4, 4-7, 7-10, 10-1am, or if they want to double up, 4-7, 7-10 with staggered dates for the ALCS & NLCS.

Of course this way doesn’t really offer that much of an advantage over the way it’s currently done, I’m just being fussy

Am I the only one who thinks that MLB should go to the regular schedule for the 1st round?
