If they do end up playing this game tonight…here’s the cap the Yankees players will be wearing in it:

I dunno, if there are issues with the weather, I would either move up the game time or cancel it outright.

I think they should play inspite of a rainout, snowout or even windout! That’s their homefield adavantage. Those Angels were unsettled by the football like atmosphere. The Angels are a very good team and they probably won’t make those same mistakes twice but one never knows. If anything, inclement weather works in the Yankees’ favor NOT otherwise…..

Six years ago today, Aaron Boone gave us our last great Yankee moment. Here’s to that day, the home run he hit and all the hard work he put in to get back to baseball after a tough surgery.

They have the game on MLB Network, and my Mo…i’m so thankful we don’t have to watch Soriano flail at pitches 4 inches off the plate anymore. Idk how Cashman turned him into A-Rod, but thanks Brian :)

The arod haters would have a field day with that Soriano/Arod quote. Then again they never won anything with Soriano(they came close when he hit that home run in Game 7 of the 2001 world Series THEN San Mariano had one of his UnMariano like moments a la 97 and 2004) and haven’t won a dman thing with Arod on the team either. Arod has been playing well so far(to his great credit) BUT the playoffs aren’t over yet…… The Aaron Boone homer isn’t a big deal to me. At the time it was awesome, but after their subsequent loss to the Marlins it wasn’t as grand in retrospect. They didn’t close the deal ,so that hoome run has very little weight with me. Along with the Fisk home run in 75, those late home runs in the 2001 World Series at the stadium, too. I’m always annoyed how they trumpet that Fisk home run as something magical WHEN the Reds won that World Series! Now Reggie’s homers back in the 77-78 World Series THEY were important home runs.

I need one of those caps. It’ll be a worthwhile investment, because the way this team is looking right now, we’re in for plenty of fall baseball for the next few years.
