Did Burnett Choke It Up In Game 5? Wild Thought: Yanks Fans Afraid Of The Weather?
Oct 23

I’ve seen the new ABC show “Modern Family” three times now. I saw the one with the bike and the hot neighbor. I’ve seen the one Shelley Long. And, this week, I caught the one where Gloria was called a coal digger.

While watching it this week, I said to my wife “This is just like ‘Arrested Development.’”

And, doing a quick google on it today, I see I’m not alone with that feeling:

If you haven’t checked out the show, you may want to…soon. It’s just off-beat and funny enough that it’s a sure bet to get the hook way too soon….like “Arrested Development” did…

I have this show on my dvr back log, that I’ll catch up to at the seasons end. I have heard good things. Speaking of shows like “Arrested Development”, have you ever seen the show “Better off Ted” Steve? That one reminds me of Arrested Development quite a bit (even has the sister in it, in a similar role).

Love Better Off Ted, great writing and chemistry on that show. Saw the Pilot for Modern Family. The “cool father” turned me off a lot–seemed too much like Michael from The Office. I can’t stand that type of character.

Agreed. I particularly enjoy the commercials they have for the products that the company sells. Good stuff.

Here’s the link, Steve, in case you are interested :
