2009 ALCS Game Six Cancelled

Just heard Mike Francesa announce it. They’ll try again tomorrow – and, now, Game 7, if needed, will be Monday at 8 pm ET (not 5 pm as reported earlier).
It will be interesting to see if this move costs the Yankees in some way…as it may have in the past.

In response to the incoming rumblings about having to use CC on Monday :

My fault, I was under the impression that the World Series started on Friday…don’t know why.
Absolutely maddening.. planned the whole day around this damn game..
And they dont learn and take a late start again tomorrow night.. dont u have a better chance of completing the game if u start at 5 and if rain interferes u have more time to wait out
i think CBS has the dbl-header for NFL.. even if thas not the case cant FOX-CBS work on a double header swap or FOX offload the NFL to sister stations…
this is so awful.. Selig has no spine or input and this just blows..
Pettitte, with 5 or more days of rest, career, postseason only:
25 starts, 10-8, 7 ND, 4.25 ERA
Exactly 5 days of rest:
6 starts, 1-3, 2 ND, 4.62 ERA
Exactly 4 days of rest:
4 starts, 2-0, 2 ND, 2.39 ERA
Unfortunately, exactly 4 days is no longer an option. Very small sample sizes, of course.
I wish another station (hint: NBC) would pick up the playoffs. Hell, TBS would be fine.
