Before we begin, let’s give a big shout out to the Red Sox fans, Met fans, The Rally Monkey, ESPN, Mike Duplica, Joe Torre (and all his acolytes), and all the Yankee haters out there……enjoy watching Law & Order tonight.

I would like to take this time to formally predict Yankees in 5.

I’ll take Yanks in 6. For MVP, I won’t go with the chalk – off the top I’ll say Damon.

Hmm MVP? I think I’m going to go with Mo. I sense many multi-inning saves in his future.

Whassup fellas. Almost forgot what this feels like. Lookin forward to hopefully another good start from CC. If I had to guess MVP…I’d say Mo. If Mo gets MVP, then we’ve done allright, lol.

@ Corey:
Beat me to it, lol

Yep, baseball’s the only game where you play almost every day for 6 months……then play 9 games in three weeks.

Loving the StarWars music

Funny you mention that because I remember watching Game 1 against the Marlins back in 2003, two nights after the Aaron Boone HR, and I was astounded how dead quiet the crowd sounded that night.

Damn..that guy scares the crap outta me
October 28th, 2009 at 8:09 pm
Light Bulb Head Buck already starting with the three octave excitement calls when the Phillies do something.
October 28th, 2009 at 8:14 pm
Is CC trying to give us a heart attack?
October 28th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
ehhh, first World Series game, probably a little nerves & OD of adrenaline.
October 28th, 2009 at 8:19 pm
Both teams have bunted with no one on..why?
October 28th, 2009 at 8:21 pm
Ugh..that was ugly
October 28th, 2009 at 8:26 pm
Lee’s curve ball was nasty in the 1st
October 28th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
I didn’t know if it was that good or whether he & Ruiz were crossed up.
Semi-related – thank goodness the Rockies didn’t make the WS. Colorado got 18 inches of snow today.

@ 77yankees:
I’d take the Rockies over these guys, tho. The weather would suck, I agree
October 28th, 2009 at 8:34 pm
Game 7 would end up being on Thanksgiving.
October 28th, 2009 at 8:35 pm
A hit! Lets get a few more

Does Jay-Z really need to be involved with the World Series? This is not the NFL.

That was Jay-Z? I thought it was the guy who played Steve Urkel.
October 28th, 2009 at 8:43 pm
I would really prefer CC to not have a huge pitch count this game. He is going to pitch on short rest after all.
October 28th, 2009 at 8:53 pm
Cmon guys..gotta answer back

@ Corey:
Should only be another week, lol
October 28th, 2009 at 9:07 pm
Is MJ at the game?
October 28th, 2009 at 9:09 pm
Looks like CC’s getting warmed up

October 28th, 2009 at 9:18 pm
Geez..at this rate Lee could pitch 18 innings…frustrating
October 28th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
Dammit why does Cliff Lee have to hurl an all-time postseason game now?

Matsui is an jerk for not sliding in. Cano is just a complete idiot.
October 28th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
Mick Kelleher should be doing his job in the 1st base coaching box.
October 28th, 2009 at 9:55 pm
Dilemma, with CC at 104 pitches do you call it a game for him with game 4 (and game 7 where CC is pitching on short rest) in mind?
October 28th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
I say give him another inning.
October 28th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
2-0, end of six.
I have a feeling the Yanks will score in the 7th. If they don’t, they won’t score in the 8th…leaving the 9th as the next best shot.
Another walkoff? Let’s hope so….
October 28th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
Steve, I get a little worried when you feel more positive than I do! This game is not going to plan so far.
October 28th, 2009 at 10:10 pm
Remember, Lackey looked untouchable for 6 innings 5 days ago, and boom, look what happened in the 7th.
October 28th, 2009 at 10:13 pm
I have a feeling Matsui is gonna put one in the seats when he comes up.

Brutal. Note to Yanks relievers: the plate is that five sided white thingy dudes.
