Manuel must know his players better than we think, he has a championship to show for it,no? I think that Jed Clampett Manuel is giving away the series with this goofy move. Where in tarnation is JA Happ? I mean he was their best pitcher this year. Look, it’s by no means over BUT Manuel seems to be handing the World Series to the Yankees on a platter. I don’t wanna hear any excuses about Afraud flopping, Dick swisher being a bum or Burnout the Pie Thrower not being to handle 3 days rest or AP not being able to go on 3 day rest or even Gaudin starting. They should win this series from here on in. The way that Hayseed Manuel has set up his rotation , he has gift wrapped a championship for the Bombers.

Basically knocks him out of a Game 7 start as well, if it gets that far.

Now I’d start CC in Game 4, even if Pettitte wins tomorrow.

Whatever the reason, this is great news. Certainly gives the Yankees the edge in game 4 if they use CC. I hope they don’t use this as an excuse to rest him.

Blanton in his career vs. the Yanks:
