I’m gunna be honest, this doesn’t break my heart.
Sorry, but his BA of .154 is the same as his slugging and OBP, which puts him at an amazing OPS of.308. He’s been very unproductive.
Start Brett Gardner, throw Guzman on the roster and use him for late inning running and defensive replacement and we’re fine.

Guzman takes Gardner’s spot as PR although you suddenly have to rely on him to replace either Damon or Gardner in the OF which could be dicey since I don’t think he’s played an inning of defense yet with the Yanks.

While I agree that Melky hasn’t done that well at the plate this world series, he IS coming off a pretty damn good ALCS.
