…is one Krazy Kat. Via Joel Sherman the other day -
The Yankees have actually gotten strong inquiries from Japan about Kei Igawa, who is still due two years at $8 million. But the lefty has told the team he prefers to stay, though he almost certainly will be buried at Triple-A.
Do they have a rodeo in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre?

He’d rather be successful in the minors here than struggle anywhere else.
Can it be the Japanese cultural position of saving face? Maybe his wife likes living in NYC. All I know keep him away from the Bronx and as far as possible! He is the all time wins leader for the Wilkes Barre club isn’t he as strange as that sounds???!!!
They had a chance to pawn him off on San Diego when they claimed him on waivers a couple years ago and withdrew him.

Milwaukee was interested in him as well
I think we should trade him somehow somewhere as part of some deal even if we have to pay for it – he’s worth less than nothing if we’re never going to bring him up.
