The World Series Special Collector’s edition DVD set is scheduled to be released sometime before Christmas (I’m waiting for that).

Can’t find this thing in the sticks so I had to spring for it online. I love rewatching these things. Do they focus on a couple of nutjob fans like they did during the 90s films?

Would be awesome to have additional audio tracks of the radio guys calling the game – I’m holding out hope for the Blu-Ray edition or possibly the A&E box set…

Re: the A-Rod PED issue – didn’t think it would be included, just as the Giambi & Pettitte stuff is swept under the rug as well.

Let’s not forget this is an MLB-produced video, and thus Selig’s fingerprints are all over it. If the Yankees produce something on their own – as they did with the late 90′s championships – it’s possible you would see that at the beginning of a full-season recap.

You had to know that this wouldn’t be mentioned in the video. A-Rod had the press conference and went through the media circus to put the PED use behind him, and nobody in Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees or Alex Rodriguez himself want the PED issue to be brought up in any facet.

I’m happy it’s not a part of it. Out of respect to Alex Rodriguez, if this is the only WS he wins i’m sure when he’s 75-years-old and feeling nostalgic, he’d prefer to look back at his greatest achievement without reliving his most embarrassing moment.

I’ll be picking up 2 today!
