Back in September, I mentioned that Larry Koestler had started a new blog called “Yankeeist.” Since then, Larry’s been busy – including doing interviews with “SG” of Replacement Level Yankees Weblog, Alex and Cliff of Bronx Banter, and the guys at RAB.

Well, now it’s my turn. Click here to see the recent interview that I did with the “Yankeeist.” And, of course, my thanks to Larry Koestler for asking me to take part in his interview series.

Yeah, I wish that I could say that was my attempt at an Animal House “when the Germans attacked Pearl Harbor” type line…but, it was just a brain fart on my part.

Then again, I did day-dream a lot in high school – esp. during classes like Art History…

So, maybe it was more than just a momentary lapse? ;-)

I thought about that too :D

Nice interview, Steve. Have you been trying to become more positive? I’ve not noticed it. Then again, I know that you have run “positive” and “negative” pieces anyway, so I don’t agree with people who think that you’re “too negative” sometimes.

      Thanks guys.

Yeah, personally, I try and let those “you’re so negative” claims roll off my back – since the people who offer them are usually just pissed that I’m sharing an opinion that is different from their own…

and that’s why it’s “negative” (in their eyes).

Hey, Steve. Good interview. I’ve followed you for a while now and you sort of influenced me to start my own blog. Thanks for your work.

“He is also Brian Cashman’s most outspoken critic on the Internet.”

I dunno if that’s kind of flattering for you or not? lol

When it comes to measuring quality, there’s always the point about how there’s a difference between batting average and slugging percentage. One measures hit frequency while the other measures the quality of the hit. So, maybe WasWatching.com doesn’t get as many hits as other blogs, but, the ones I get tell me that people, including professionals in the field, like what I’m doing — and I find that to be very nice.

Lower batting average, higher slugging percentage…why, you’re Nick Swisher! haha ;)

Thanks for the compliment, and, BTW, the new look to your blog is awesome. Two thumbs way up.
