Yeah, he doesn’t do a whole lot for the Yankees really. Less than a year ago there was an article trying to pin down what he actually did for the Yankees and it was kind of funny. Some executives insisted that he had an active role with the team, while others admitted they couldn’t remember the last time they had even seen him. I know he hasn’t been involved in any of the on the field activities like closing the old stadium or celebrating after game 6 of the WS and he hasn’t even been at any of the press conferences during the past two seasons. Yet some blogs insist on bringing him up all the time (I’m not talking about you and this article). Nice catch with this though.
