  • Will Yankees Nick Johnson Make History This Year?

Can Nick Johnson become the first truly full-time “D.H. who bats second” in baseball history this year?

It really is strange to see a team use its D.H. as a two-hitter, no? Not quite sure what that says about the Yankees 2010 line-up…

Not quite sure what that says about the Yankees 2010 line-up…

I’m quite sure that it means… nothing.

Not any more stranger than having an infielder as a leadoff hitter.

Um, I didn’t write that. You’re quoting someone else.

      @ jay:
The way the site is coded, Raf can only hit reply to you, which means he can only get the default block code html by hitting quote. He just forgot to change the name in the code.

Or, he could just manually edit the paste job that hitting the ‘quote’ button does :)

I’m dreading the Nick Johnson experiment, whether he bats 2nd or elsewhere. Never understood this signing, never will.

      @ MJ Recanati:
will you understand the signing is he plays in 135 games, has a 380 OBP and 28 home runs?

not an experiment… proven major leaguer with an unfortunate injury history.
