Yo, Dog!

I know that he’s been doing this for at least a year – or longer? – but, I have to say that WFAN’s Craig Carton does a dead-on impersonation of Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo. This morning, he had me in stitches when he went into “Mad Dog” mode. If you’ve never heard it, you’re missing it.
I generally don’t listen to WFAN if I can help it but, I gotta say, Craigie is hilarious and his morning radio show with Boomer Esiason has grown on me a lot over the past few months. Yes, his act is a total rip-off of vintage 1993-era Howard Stern (with Mad Dog Russo mixed in) but I don’t care. His voice and his personality crack me up.
Craig Cartoon is really Howard stern done wrong for sure. I’m really starting to despise him lately,he’s a becomg an ADHD version of Howard on crack sideways! I hate his affected pronunciation of ‘progress’ among other things. His wannabe quasi-Italianisms are also becoming quite the annoyance as well. And the scariest thing of all is his spot on imitation of Mad Dog. Not only does he sound like Mad Dog when he imitates him he’s starting to sound like him during the show as well! That is the greatest irony of them all. It’s a case of art imitating an imitation! I do think Cartoon is a bloody wanker and his act is too much. Stern has some wit and intelligence behind his act Cartoon doesn’t. I do like Boomer though……
