Can anyone guess what this represents?

Would it help if I did this?

No brave souls willing to guess on this one, huh?
@ Steve Lombardi:
I thought about it for a while and couldn’t think of it.
OK, I’ll cough this one up.
It’s my rough estimation of the popularity of this blog over the first five years of its existence (2005 through 2009).
Coming from nowhere in the salad days of 2005. Building in the next two years (2006-2007). Peaking at the end of 2007 and the first quarter of 2008. And, then, half-way through 2008, dipping down back to early 2007 levels. Finally, maintaining that through 2009.
It will be interesting to see what happens in 2010.
@ Steve Lombardi:
lol Jeez, I was thinking this was baseball related
@ Steve Lombardi:
I’m surprised the peak was during the offseason. I would think people would be less likely to come to a baseball blog during the offseason.
@ Corey Italiano:
Actually, I guess I could see it with the Santana trade and the Clemens steroid scandal being big news items at the time.

Don’t forget the Torre departure, as well as the book he wrote…
Yeah, the end of 2007 to the beginning of 2008 was a busy time. It was the end of Torre and the beginning of Girardi. It was all the stupid hype about Joba/Hughes/Kennedy. There was the Oritz jersey buried in the new Stadium.
But, I also have a theory. I was home collecting severance during the summer of 2008 – and posting at a very high frequency. So, I probably pissed off a lot of people during that time – which folded into a lot of other Yankees blogs just starting about then too…which probably drove away some readers. That could be part of it?
@ Steve Lombardi:
Hey, look on the bright side, it looks like it’s trending up right?
@ Corey Italiano:
Hey, no worries here. I didn’t start writing this blog in an attempt to win a popularity contest. And, I’m not writing it now to win one either.
