This one was tougher between Jete and Donnie. But had to go with Numba Two.

I took Donnie all the way. Donnie was Jeter before Jeter was Jeter. Calm, quiet, stoic leader with professionalism and respect of his peers. Donnie wrote the book and Jeter’s just following the script.
@ MJ Recanati:
I think when all is said and done though, Jeter will be, stat wise, top 5 Yankee ever.

As of Opening Day, Jeter’s NYY all-time rankings are:
5th in AVG (.317; Ruth .349)
3rd in G (2140; Mantle 2401)
1st in AB (8669)
2nd in PA (9819; Mantle 9909)
4th in R (1575; Ruth 1959)
1st in H (2750)
4th in TB (3976; Ruth 5131)
4th in 2B (438; Gehrig 534)
10th in HR (224; Ruth 659)
10th in RBI (1069; Gehrig 1995)
7th in BB (885; Ruth 1852)
2nd in K (1467; Mantle 1710)
2nd in SB (306; Henderson 326)
1st in HBP (143)
2nd in GIDP (213; Williams 223)
8th in CS (80; Ruth 117)
Yeah, when it’s all said and done, Jeter will be top-5 in just about everything.
No postgame thread today?
Your ability to pull up stats astounds me

I can wrap up last night’s game in one word: AWESOME!!
@ MJ Recanati:
All I heard yesterday was how bad the bullpen was going to be. Really? After one game? Give me a break chowdaheadz!

Covered this a while back – I’m not doing those this year, like I have in the past, on a regular basis. But, feel free to comment on the game in the current thread of the day – and I’m sure people will respond.
@ Steve Lombardi:

@ clintfsu813:
Going forward, I’m going to try and put a post game review whenever I get the chance.

Although, most likely not for tonights game, Wednesday nights are a busy time for me and I’ll probably end up watching the game tomorrow afternoon.
