    Have you seen this yet?

I’m starting to think that Joe Maddon is a cross between Billy Martin and Drew Carey.

Cant tell if Maddon is trying to be funny or being a douche

Lol, donations? They probably have Soriano on their roster because of the 18 sellouts a year they get from the Yankees and Sox. Consider that our donation.

      Agreed on all counts.

Separately, I tire of hearing what a great manager Maddon is. Up 1-0 with zero outs in the bottom of the first on Saturday, he’s bunting with Zobrist to move Crawford to third with Longoria coming up. You have 27 outs and you’re burning your first one with your #3 hitter to advance the runner from 2nd to 3rd? Rubbish.

      @ MJ Recanati:
Are you sure it wasn’t Zobrist acting on his own? I remember them discussing why the number 3 hitter was bunting on the telecast.

      @ Corey Italiano:
I was listening on the radio and Sterling/Waldman didn’t say anything about it after the fact.

If he was acting on his own…yuck…glad I don’t have Zobrist on any of my fantasy teams.

If he was acting on his own, it probably feels a lot like every time Swisher squares up to bunt. Any time I see a guy bunting who can’t bunt, has no history of bunting and has a better chance of putting one in the seats, it really annoys me.

Figures; they probably too busy talking about everything except the game… The guys in the tv booth speculated that he was doing it on his own. They were also surprised that the #3 hitter would bunt.

As for Maddon, he was being glib, nothing wrong with that. Didn’t he have some comments about Yankee Stadium last season?

I don’t remember exactly but, yeah, chances are that they were talking about a Broadway show or something.

You guys should have been there Saturday and Sunday. Everytime we started up the Lets Go Yankees chant, the pitiful Rays fans would try and boo to drown us out. Failed every time. I call the Trop Bronx South. We always outnumber them!
