MY 9 (Not)

According to my count the Yankees are now 5-7 on MY 9 games. Tim McCarver up next and then ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, what a treat.

Speaking of ESPN and FOX, gotta say, I do appreciate the 4 pm start today and the 8 pm start on Sunday – because it does allow for one to enjoy the outside on a summer weekend in August AND allow them to catch some of these games. (I say that because I’m watching on TV. If I had tickets to the game on Sunday, and it was an 8 pm start, I’d be bitching forever on that. Nothing worse for those driving than a Sunday night game at the Stadium.)
But, while I like how 4 pm and 8 pm work into my summer schedule this weekend, it’s bothersome that these games are on FOX and ESPN – because of the announcers and, because, if these are great games, the odds of them getting into Yankees Classics are now very remote. Plus, they won’t be on Yankees encore or inDemand for all the people who like to watch the games that way. And, I feel bad for them on that too.
There anyone who’d just wish those games weren’t on Ch. 9 to begin with? I mean, they’re just YES produced games placed on over the air TV. And unless you’re in some sort of financial hardship, most everyone has cable or satellite anyway.

I think it’s pretty much irrelevant. No point to doing it.

Believe it or not, I know a few people who don’t have Cable or a Dish. But, it is just a few.
In any event, I’m not really sure why they do it – but, I am glad that every game is on TV in some form. I can remember the days when that was not the case.
