Yankees Ivan Best Nova Since 1968?

Well, given the sorry state of the Yankees starting rotation, sans CC Sabathia, lately, albeit just after two starts, Ivan Nova is looking as pretty as a vintage Linda Harrison at this moment, in Yanleeland, for sure.

Kid shows moxie. Would love to see him stick around. Long way to though.
Silly me.
I went looking back on the 1968 roster to see the last super Nova.
Gene Michael took the mound in a game that year and had Swisheresque stats.
Heck, Rocky Colavito got a win.
Another good start for the kid when the Yanks really needed it. I’m hoping he’ll be like Wang, a guy that kind of came out nowhere and turned into a decent major league pitcher. (Speaking of, whatever happened to him being ready in May or whatever? Looks like the Nats wasted $2 million on him. What a shame that his career imploded like that.)
Can you believe they are filming a new Apes movie that will be part of the original 1960s/70s Ape series? Hollywood has truly run out of ideas.
Isn’t “Ivanova” playing in the women’s US Open this week?
And the Red Sox can put away their sunblock. They won’t be catching Rays any time soon
