Roger Clemens On Dancing With The Stars

No, it’s not happening – at least, not now.
But, when I thought about how funny it would be, if this were true, for the heck of it, I googled “Roger Clemens Dancing With The Stars” and saw that I was not the first person to think this would be an interesing event.
Darn.
Perhaps it’s my age, but I absolutely loathe shows like “Dancing with the Stars”
It’s the non-creative, exploitive cash cow shows like this that floods the networks and causes good shows to get cancelled.

I’ve never, EVER, watched DWTS. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero. But, I know it has a HUGE following and many of my friends watch it. Then again, I didn’t get into American Idol until it was on for 5 years already – missing the first 4 seasons – when I had friends who were watching it all along, telling me I was missing out (and me telling them that they were crazy). So, who knows, maybe one day I will watch DWTS. But, as for now, I’m not biting.

American Idol falls into that same class of TV program. That show gets to beat the same drum year after year yet shows of the Arrested Development ilk constantly get put to pasture.

I just keep reminding myself of what Mr. Jordan said: The likelihood of one individual being right increases in direct proportion to the intensity with which others are trying to prove him wrong…

I’ve been griping about the lack of baseball players on DWTS for several years now. Even wrote an article about it last summer. It’s time for an MLB player to make it on the show already. They’ve literally had reps from pretty much every sport except for baseball.
