I’ve been busy with other stuff and haven’t followed the managerial ins and outs of the games recently with a very close eye. That devalues my vote to some extent, but still – I vote no. Girardi is not responsible for the starting pitching spitting the bit, or for the abysmal failures of the offense with RISP over the last month or two. The players let the division slip away from them – Girardi didn’t do it on his own.

Why blame Girardi for A.J’s horrible season? One more win from him and the Yankees win the Division.

Blame the players. Posada and Jeter with their worst years ever. Players playing through injuries.

Injuries to Pettite, Arod, Posada, Aceves etc.

Yes, Joe has rested guys but with the old men on this team he needed to. My only complaint with Joe would be playing Kerns and Posada too much, and Eiland for the regression of all the pitchers except C.C.

      @ K-V-C:
If only Huffman or Russo hadn’t failed miserably we wouldn’t have to live with Kearns strike-outs. I’d like to see Golson on the roster at least for defense and speed. I also liked the way he swung the bat in his last start. And we could get Nunez over Pena.

As far as I know Eiland does not practice magic or Voodoo. He had Burnett performing well out of Spring Taining and fixed him once in July. That it didn’t stick tells me AJ is incredibly stupid. Vazquez just simply lost his stuff. Andy got hurt and this was Hughes first year in the rotation. All things you can’t pin on Eiland. The pen would take too long!

So far, 55% blame General Joe.
