Francesa: Yanks Uniformed Personnel Nothing To Do With Burnett’s Black Eye This Season

Yup. Listening to WFAN just now, I heard Mike Francesa say, implying that he knows the story behind A.J. Burnett’s shiner this year, that the stories suggesting that Jorge Posada or Dave Eiland hit Burnett are not true. Francesa then stressed that Burnett’s back eye had nothing to do with anyone wearing a Yankees uniform.
I have to suspect, if Francesa knows the story, it’s out there. And, in time, it will be known to more in the public. Eventually, someone will let it slip…

Let’s hope that whatever it was became a major, major distracation to Burnett all year and next year he comes out like a man on a mission.
It may have had something to do with an encounter with Kevin Brown.
I had hears that he had an unsuccessful tryout for the part of the dog in a Target commercial.
My $$ is still on Mrs. Burnett.
Funny how Mussolini with his dart throwing and hand waving gestures tries to impress everyone with his “I’ve got a secret” insider knowledge. Does he also claim to know the inside info about the Kennedy assassination and the Amelia Earhart disappearance too???
Or, anything on the Chris Russo disappearance?
…and I’m still going with:
I suspected Jeter, at first, then realized he didn’t hit anything hard all that month.
