      Just Cashman saying a lot on both sides without saying anything of substance that he can’t take back.

      Did anyone listen to his interview on YES? If he said once (re the catching prospects) “they have to earn the job”, he said it 20 times. The guy either decided for himself or was told by someone else what his talking points were. He sounded like a little robot. I didn’t take a single thing he said seriously.

      No reason to. He’s never going to reveal the team’s true intentions publically; it would jack up the price of commodities he wants to acquire, and let his competition get their desired players at a lower cost.
