      Phillies, Nats, Rangers & Yanks. I think the Nats recently bowed out, and it would be a really cool swerve if the Phils swooped in and sniped Lee from the Yanks and Rangers.

      Call me crazy, but I wonder if this whole charade is just to try to get the Yankees to up their offer ever so slightly (if the 7/160 is true) so that he can get the biggest contract ever awarded to a pitcher. If the rumors about this mystery team are true, do we really think he’s going to sign a 4 or 5-year deal? Sounds like another part of a game to me now that the Rangers and Yanks have basically set their offers in “stone”.

      I’m ready for it to be all over with, I’ve been incessantly checking my phone at work for worthless updates and I don’t even know if I want them to sign the guy!

      Assuming the money it would cost to sign Lee, I think they would’ve been better off keeping Werth or dumping Ibanez and signing Crawford.
